1. Specifically designed for .Net
Our component is specifically engineered for ASP.Net and is compatible with .Net framework versions 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5.
2. Minimal changes required
GEO IP.Net operates at the application level and automatically does its magic in the background. Most of our competitors require you to make changes on all pages that you want to localize.
All that is required with our component is that you install it in your web site's ./bin folder and make a couple of chages to web.config. You are then ready to utilize built in .Net framework capabilities such as resource files and culture specific formatting of currencies, dates and the like.
3. Root / Administrator access is not required
Our component is shared hosting friendly.
Some other products are ISAPI components require that you have root or administrator access to your web server. While this is usually not a problem if you have a dedicated server, you do not usually have this capability if you use shared hosting. The situation with ISAPI components and shared hosting is futher complicated by the general reliability and performance of the ISAPI component as it may affect others on the shared server. The ISAPI software license may also exclude installation on shared servers. This means that it's unlikely that you'll be able to install an ISAPI component on shared hosting.
Our component avoids all of these problems by installing at the application level making XCOPY, FTP or WDP deployment possible.

We update our IP / Country on a weekly basis . It is availalable for you to download and manually install (“standard edition”) or use the zero touch capabilities (i.e. self updating database) of the “Premier” edition.
